Artifacts: Some Things That Make People Different Document
What I Learned:
From this artifacts and the textbook I read, I learned that students' cultural backgrounds play a major role in how they learn and interact in the classroom. Their home culture shapes the way they view education and the world. As educators, it is important that we acknowledge this and find ways to incorporate students’ cultures into our teaching practices.
Future Practice:
I will apply these skills in my future classroom by making sure each of my students feels that their culture is recognized and valued. I will do this by making multicultural content in my lessons, celebrating different cultural holidays, and giving opportunities for students to share their own backgrounds. I also plan to continue learning about different cultures so I can better support my students.
